Do you ever just feel like taking yourself out of the “game” and letting the cards lay as they will? I’m all for fighting for what you want and deserve, but at some point you just have to let the universe take over. Not to mention, watching people fall all over themselves, obsessing, creating elaborate stories, plans and dramatics and dramatics and dramatics…. it almost makes me laugh. Okay fine, it totally makes me laugh. I understand hope and determination (and respect it), but just because you believe something should be a certain way does not in any way guarantee other parties feel the same. I’ve learned that when you expect things and put yourself above others, in the end, you get a dose of karma and humility. I respect the “game”, whatever it pertains to at any given time… to a certain extent. We all play games in life. Despite my ability to play the game well, I don’t think I need to play the game to get what I want, whatever it may be. Confidence, dedication and hard work are so unbelievably important, but once you’ve made your play in the game, everything should just be as it will. So… let the cards fall. I’ve found that life is more of an adventure than I ever expected. It’s exciting and hard and fun and crazy, but as long as you have a good mind set and even more so, a good sense of humor, you should be able to take it as a challenge and an adventure.

I forgot how much I love this. Hahaha. Dramatic people make me laugh. This is PRIME. I would love to meet the person who wrote the letter. (I hope they’ve learned how to spell since then.) I’m going to start reading all dramatic tweets, blogs, posts, etc in this voice.
